Health and Well-being and sporting events.
Every Wednesday is Well-being Wednesday at Blessed William Davies School. We wear our P.E. kits and weather friendly footwear and we learn outdoors together. We take time during the week but especially on Wednesday to think about our mental and physical health and to learn in nature and explore the great outdoors in the school grounds and beyond.
The school takes part in local, Diocesan and National sporting competitions. Pupils in KS2 are also given the opportunity of taking part in residential, educational experiences at centres like Glan Llyn and Nant Bwlch yr Haearn.
The school promotes health and fitness and pupils are taught the skills and encouraged to participate in the various sporting activities offered throughout the year. Orienteering, football, netball, tag rugby, cricket, tennis and are examples of the experiences available. Children in Year 5 & 6 can also access Cycling Proficiency sessions to promote road safety and sensible cycling.
